Food safety is a major health concern in the community due to unhygienic food preparation and improper food storage that can result to foodborne illness. Ensuring food safety requires not only following hygienic practices but also have good knowledge and positive attitude among food handlers to customers. Assessing the knowledge and attitude towards food safety among food handlers will identify gaps and allows targeted intervention to prevent illnesses. This study employ a cross-sectional design. Using a convenience sampling technique, a total of 192 respondents take part of the study. Data gathering tool used a structured questionnaire. Results indicated that food handlers were moderately knowledgeable and demonstrate a positive attitude regarding food safety. The food handlers have a significant inadequacy of knowledge in temperature control, personal hygiene details, sanitation and waste management. There is a moderate positive correlation between the level of knowledge and attitude about food safety.
